Sturt Manning is Professor of Classical Archaeology at Cornell University, where he also directs the Cornell Tree Ring Laboratory. His research interests include Aegean, Cypriot, and east Mediterranean archaeology, along with the archaeology of complex societies, dendrochronology, radiocarbon dating, and archaeological science. Recent publications include A Test of Time and A Test of Time Revisited: The Volcano of Thera and the Chronology and History of the Aegean and East Mediterranean in the mid-second Millennium BC (Oxbow, 2014) and Tree-Rings, Kings and Old World Archaeology and Environment: Papers Presented in Honor of Peter Ian Kuniholm (Oxbow, 2009).
