REINER SMOLINSKI is Professor of English, Emeritus, at Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA. He has published extensively on the works of Cotton Mather, including a critical edition of Biblia Americana, colonial America's first commentary on the Bible. KENNETH MINKEMA is Editor of The Work of Jonathan Edwards and Director of The Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University, New Haven, USA, with an appointment as a Research Scholar at Yale Divinity School. ANDREW JUCHNO is a graduate student in the doctoral program in History at Boston College, USA.
