ANDREW MICHAEL ROBERTS is Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Dundee, and previously taught at Queen Many and Westfield College, University of London. He is a former general editor of The Conradian and his publications include edited volumes on Conrad and Gender, and The Novel a critical reader on Joseph Conrad, and articles on romantic, modern and contemporary literature .
