Professor Bal S. Virdeeis the Director of the Centre for Communications Technology Research Group at London Metropolitan University, London, U.K. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He received the B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in Communications Engineering from the University of Leeds, U.K., in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of London, U.K., in 1996. He is the Director of the Centre for Communications Technology within the School of Computing and Digital Media at London Metropolitan University, UK, where he also serves as a Senior Professor of Communications Technology. His transition into academia follows a distinguished career in industry. He has held key positions at leading technology companies, including Philips, where he worked as a Research and Development Engineer, and Teledyne Defence & Space, where he served as a Future Products Developer specialising in advanced communications and radar guidance systems. This indus□try experience informs his teaching and research, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. He has taught at various higher education institutions and remains deeply engaged in curriculum development, mentorship, and academic leadership. His research has attracted significant funding from various national and interna□tional sources., Prof. Virdee is the Chief Editor of Frontiers in Antennas and Propagation and holds several pres□tigious professional designations: Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), Chartered Engineer (CEng), and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).Dr. Tanweer Ali (Senior Member, IEEE)is currently working as an Additional Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka, India. He is an active researcher in the field of microstrip, MIMO, DRA, UWB, millimeter wave and Tera-hertz antennas, wireless communication, and microwave imaging. He has been listed in top 2% scientists across the world for the year 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 by the pres□tigious list published by Stanford University, USA, indexed by Scopus. He is currently heading Advanced Antenna and Microwave Research Lab at MIT, Manipal. Among his most out□standing contributions is that of inventor of Antenna Booster Technology, a technology that fostered the creation of Ignion. Many of these products have been adopted by the wireless industry worldwide, to allow wireless connectivity through a miniature component called an antenna booster. He has participated as principal researcher in more than 22 research projects financed by the Spanish Ministry, CDTI, CIDEM, and the European Commission for an amount exceeding 7M$.Dr. Suman Lata Tripathyis working as Professor in the Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), India. She has completed her Ph.D in the area of microelectronics and VLSI from MNNIT, Allahabad. She did her M.Tech in Electronics Engineering from UP Technical University, Lucknow and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. She is post-doc researcher at NTU, UK. She has published more than 65 research papers in refereed journals and conferences. She has organized a number of workshops, summer internships and expert lectures for students. She has worked as a session chair, conference steering committee member, editorial board member and reviewer in international/ national IEEE Journal and conferences. She has been nominated for the “Research Excellence Award” in 2019, 2020, 2021 at Lovely professional university. Her area of expertise includes microelectronics device modeling and characterization, low power VLSI circuit design, VLSI design of testing and advance FET design for IOT and biomedical applications etc.
