This text provides an introduction to the comparative study of human and animal behaviour, taking as its starting point the evolutionary pressures which have influenced the behaviour of humans and animals. She was formerly a part-time Tutor in Psychology and Teacher Education at Weston-super-Mare College and a Visiting Tutor in Psychology at the University of Bristol.SHEILA HAYWARD taught A-level Psychology for twelve years. She is currently engaged in research at the Health Psychology Research Unit at the University of Bristol, where she also lectures part-time in organisational psychology and research methods and statistics.
