This textbook is the second volume in a two-textbook series tailored to aid learners studying non-calculus-based physics. The book builds on the information presented in the first volume and features a strong focus on enabling students to link theoretical knowledge with practical applications in daily activities. The content is organized into modules, each breaking down key physics topics such as electric forces and fields, capacitance, the relation between current and resistance, properties of magnetism, induced voltages and inductance, wave optics, special and general relativity, and quantum physics.
Eugene de Silva is a professor of physics and chemistry at Walters State Community College, where he developed the first online college physics programs in collaboration with the Board of Regents for the State of Tennessee. He is the president of the Tennessee Science Department Chairs Association, chair of the Institute of Physics US/USA Branch, and executive member of the Tennessee Academy of Sciences.
