Clwydian Range and Dee Valley

The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley form a dramatic upland frontier in northeast Wales that stretches from the hills near Prestatyn in the north down to the Berwyn Mountains in the south. The northern section is defined by the Clwydian Range, a chain of rounded, heather-clad hills which eventually dips southward past Llantysilio Mountain and the Horseshoe Pass to reach the more pastoral Dee Valley, famed for its rich tapestry of medieval and industrial heritage.
