Featuring the musical dynamics of Dylan, Scarlet Rivera on violin, Emmylou Harris on backing vocals, Rob Stoner on bass and Howie Wyeth on drums, not to mention the song writing contributions of Jacques Levy, the LP is one of the most remarkable and exotic of Dylan's long career. This book looks at the making of the album itself, the songs within, their meaning and power, as well as the record's importance in the whole of Dylan's oeuvre. Also includes snippets of interviews the author conducted with Rivera, Stoner, and engineer Don Meehan.
