Chatbots in the Classroom

AI is subject to bias, hallucinations, and ineffective or undesired outcomes. Strategies are needed to combat these issues, but also to recognize the many strengths of chatbots. Your students are already using them, but are they delegating their assignments to chatbots in an effective and appropriate way? Prompt engineering combined with critical thinking is THE key skill in today's society, both in education and business. At the same time, students need traditional writing and reading skills in order to evaluate all types of writing (their own, chatbots', and other people's), and to avoid AI slop, chatbotese, and cognitive decline. This book is designed for teachers and lecturers in any subject, along with English as a Foreign Language teachers, whose students range between 14 and 24 years old.
