Charles Simeon of Cambridge was captured in silhouette by the world-famous silhouette artist, Augustin Edouart. This unique concertina of the silhouettes is available for framing. A beautiful gift for a pastor or theological student.The silhouettes are in the National Portrait Gallery in London. This is the only way to purchase all nine, at a very modest price. Each is named, and they carry the signature of the silhouettes as part of the design.

Augustin Edouart (1789-1861), world famous silhouette artist, was born in Dunkirk, and was decorated under Napoleon. In 1825 he alighted as the silhouette, simple and arresting, as his favoured means of art. He toured the UK and then the USA, cutting out images on black card of nobility, gentry, politicians and others of note in the professions, the military and the navy. Edouart kept copies of all his work, which reached the rare total of 100,000 silhouettes. Some were lost when he sailed back to the UK aboard the Oneida which was shipwrecked. His book 'A Treatise on Silhouette likenesses, containing many illustrations, was published in 1835.
