Lynn C. Waelde, Ph.D. Is Professor Emeritus in the Psychology Department at Palo Alto University. Dr. Waelde’s many collaborative publications address the impacts of stress and trauma, including those resulting from exposure to race-related stress, and the use of mindfulness and meditation to promote stress resilience and recovery, with special attention to applications across diverse groups. She is the author of Mindfulness and Meditation in Trauma Treatment: The Inner Resources for Stress Program (2022). The Inner Resources for Stress program has been named a Best Practice by the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. David Pan, PhD is a treatment outcomes researcher focusing on diverse populations, cultural adaptations, nature-based therapy, anxiety, and depressive disorders. Dr. Pan earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Southern California and is currently an associate professor of psychology at New Mexico Highlands University.
