From the reviews:"This review of both current and past literature on carotid artery stenting compiles the history, statistics, techniques, and pitfalls associated with this evolving procedure. … this book also will serve as a review of the advances and pertinent topics related to carotid artery stenting for practicing interventionalists and others interested in carotid revascularization strategies. … This book provides a concise review of a rapidly evolving area of endovascular intervention, carotid artery stenting." (Paul F. Stahls, Doody’s Review Service, November, 2009)“It is meant to ‘complement the ‘hands-on’ experience of interventional trainees and established interventionists.’ The book has six parts, each part authored or co-authored by neurologists, vascular surgeons, one radiologist, and interventional cardiologists. … The individual sections are comprehensive, and the text and schematic figures are of good quality. … The index is adequate. Overall, this is a reasonable introduction to carotid artery stenting, allowing for the suboptimal image quality.” (Donald Lee, Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences, September, 2010)“This book is one of a Contemporary Cardiology series and is aimed as a resource for interventionalists who are performing or plan to perform carotid artery stenting. It is a comprehensive and well researched and referenced volume, which at times goes far beyond the basics. Overall, this book is ably set out in 15 chapters, which cover the range of information that should be included. … I felt that this book is both well presented and highly useful for the target audience.” (Trevor Cleveland, Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, January, 2011)
