Bulletin on Population and Vital Statistics in the ESCWA Region

The Bulletin on Population and Vital Statistics in the ESCWA Region, issue 13, disseminates data on population, fertility, mortality, marriages and divorces from different national sources: surveys, censuses as well as from the vital registration system. For accuracy purposes, data have been checked for reliability. The objective is to encourage countries to produce and disseminate high quality data on population and vital statistics much needed for better planning. The publication is targeted to meet the needs of data users, especially researchers, academics and those working in the fields of population, reproductive health and development by providing a comprehensive picture on population growth and its dynamics.
