Buddhism, This is our Faith

This book introduces children to the peaceful teachings of Buddhism. Young readers will learn about Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha. The book explains how Buddhists worship and meditate to help their minds stay quiet and focused, and how they follow the Eightfold Path, a guide for living wisely and kindly. Readers will visit a temple, learn about Buddhist monks and be introduced to the idea of reincarnation. They will also see how Buddhists celebrate special family occasions and the festival of Vesak when people decorate temples, light lanterns and share food to commemorate the birth of Buddha.
