There's a dark underbelly to the city of Burdensville, filled with violence, hatred, devious desires, and scores upon scores of murders. With help from the cute waitress Denise, Scott looks to find and end the cause of all this madness.

Secrets, lies, and terrible deeds have been floating around Burdensville for a very long time.

During a train ride across the country, Scott decides to visit a tiny café for lunch on a layover, in the small town of Burdensville. But he ends up visiting for longer than he ever expected, when Scott encounters a drunk man trying to hit on an unwilling waitress in the diner. Scott tries to step in and protect her, but Sheriff Darby winds up putting him in jail for his good deed. Soon, it becomes apparent that the people of Burdensville have more problems than they can shake a stick at.

The charming little burg, soon spells disaster for Scott.

Passers-through are getting killed one by one, and there seems to be no real investigation into the killings at all. But as Scott sits and waits to be seen by a judge he begins to figure out that there are many things being kept under wraps in the creepy burg, and those things are only the beginning. The town and all of its people are carrying around secrets, and Scott is stuck right in the middle of the mysterious nightmare. But it doesn’t take him long to know just how wrong things are in that town.

With a little help from local waitress Denise Jensen, they soon piece together a horrifying truth that will prove to have far worse consequences than either of them could ever imagine.
