Brill's Companion to the Reception of Galen

Petros Bouras-Vallianatos, Ph.D. (2015) King’s College London, is a WellcomeTrust Lecturer in History of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He haspublished on Byzantine medicine and pharmacology, cross-cultural medicalexchanges in the Eastern Mediterranean, the reception of the classical medicaltradition in the Middle Ages, and Greek palaeography. Barbara Zipser, Dr. Phil. (2003) Heidelberg, is a Lecturer at Royal Holloway University whose main field of research is the manuscript tradition of Greek medical works, including the vernacular. Her research has been primarily funded by the Wellcome Trust.
