Doug Devaney is a playwright, actor and voice-overperformer, having worked with Netflix, BBC Radio 4 and Audible. His most recentaudio performance was in the British version of Polish drama Lead Children,to go alongside his work on 1984, The Sandman and I, Robot. Healso produces and presents "The Plastic Podcasts", a series of interviews withmembers of the Irish diaspora. He has had short stories published in American literaryjournal The First Line and post-apocalyptic anthology Rise Of TheBadger And The Great Shrubbery. Black Vinyl is his first novel.

Great mix of alt mythos, pop culture and murderBlack Vinyl was ablast to read. Although the novel was it's own thing with it's own references,I was reminded of stuff by Kieron Gillen. A similar playful mix of pop culture,alt mythos and genre crime moments. Saying Black Vinyl is technically playfulis my biggest compliment. The clever things the author does never feel likethey're working too hard.
