Dr. Vinay Patel is an Assistant Professor at Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology, IIT Kharagpur, India. He has 8+ years of combined experience in industrial end-to-end product development. He is leading One Health Technologies Laboratory at IIT Kharagpur. He earned his PhD from McMaster University, Canada, focusing on sensor technologies. He held postdoctoral position at IIT Bombay. His research areas include electrochemical sensing and medical diagnostics. Dr. Patel has published over 20+ papers and filed multiple international and national patents (one granted). He has been recognized for his outstanding work, including an outstanding graduate student award at McMaster University, Canada and Institute Silver Medal at IIT Kharagpur.Dr. Rajendra Prasad is an Assistant Professor at the School of Biochemical Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, India. He is leading the Bright NanoGhost group for early-stage CANCER diagnosis and therapeutics. Before joining the faculty position, he has done postdoctoral trainings from Tufts University, Medford, Boston, MA, USA, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel and NOVA Medical School, Faculdade de Ciências Médicas Campo Mártires da Pátria, Lisboa, Portugal and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. He received his PhD degree in 2017 from CSIR-NCL, Pune, India. Rajendra holds membership for World Molecular Imaging Society, American Association for Cancer Research and Royal Society of Chemistry and American Chemical Society. He is also serving as an Associate Editor at various journals.Dr. Rohit Srivastava is the Himanshu Patel Chair Professor at the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Bombay, India. He completed his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University, USA, and has been with IIT Bombay since 2005. Dr. Srivastava specializes in point-of-care devices and cancer nanomedicine. Among his numerous awards, he received the multiple prestigious awards including Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, Vigyan Shri in Technology and Innovation, TATA innovation fellowship, Shri Om Prakash Bhasin Award 2018 for excellence in Health and Medical Sciences. He is honored to be part of the compendium featuring ‘75 under 50 Scientists Shaping Today's India’ published by Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, 2022. More than 150 of his current ideas have been submitted as patents and design applications to the US and Indian Patent Office with 25+ granted patents. He has already published in more than 230+ international journals, books and books chapters and 100+ conference proceedings.Prof. Pranjal Chandra is currently Head and an Associate Professor at the School of Biochemical Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, India. He earned his Ph.D. from Pusan National University, South Korea, and did postdoctoral training at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. With 15+ years of professional experience, he focuses on interdisciplinary research in biotechnology, nanobiosensors, and biochemical diagnostics. His group has designed several commercially viable prototypes that can be operated for onsite analysis. He has 2 international (South Korea), and 4 national patents granted. His work is published in 200+ journal articles/invited chapters in top-tier journals/books and has been greatly highlighted/featured in over 450 news agencies/media outlets globally. He has published 20+ books on various aspects of biosensors/diagnostics/material engineering. He is an associate editor/editorial board member of various international journals. He is the recipient of many prestigious awards, honors, and fellowships, including Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc); Fellow of Royal Society of Biology, London (FRSB); Associate fellow of Indian National Science Academy (INSA); Fellow of Indian Chemical Society (FICS) etc. He is also listed among the world's top 2% scientists from last 5 years by Stanford University, USA.
