Rakesh Kumar Tekade is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist and Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Ahmedabad. His career spans over a decade of academic and research excellence across India, the USA, the UK, and Malaysia. Dr. Tekade is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Commonwealth Fellowship (UK), National Doctoral Fellowship (AICTE-NDF), Irish Government Postdoctoral Award (IRISH-PDF), CSIR-SRF, AICTE-JRF, and the Troikaa Pharm Innova Award. His research focuses on the development of translational and targeted nano-biomaterials for biomedical applications. He has co-authored over 400 publications (with more than 18000+ citations and an H-index of 67), edited 12 reference books, and holds 12 patents, as well as one technology transfer to his credit. Dr. Tekade has been recognized as a top 2% researcher in pharmacy and pharmacology by Stanford University and Elsevier. Dr. Tekade has supervised numerous postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. students, and master’s students and is the principal investigator for DST, DBT, and ICMR-funded projects. As the Director of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ahmedabad, he leverages his extensive experience in academic leadership.
