This text reviews those areas where neurophysiology is relevant to the behaviourist, and it is assumed that the reader already has an introductory knowledge of both animal behaviour and neurophysiology. Throughout, the authors concentrate upon simpler systems which are largely under genetic control. The importance of statistical methods in this area of study is emphasized in the concluding chapter dealing with appropriate methods of statistical analysis.
