He is affiliated with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate of Health Services, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Dr. Jana has published over 30 research and review articles in different national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has also edited 15 books and published more than 45 book chapters in edited books by international publishers. He is a reviewer for international journals. Dr. Jana is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India and holds an association with the Institution of Chemists, India. He has successfully guided 17 postgraduate students in their research projects. Dr. Jana is working on drug delivery science and technology, including modification of synthetic and natural biopolymers, microparticles, nanoparticles, and semisolids and interpenetrating network (IPN) systems for controlled drug delivery.
