Elena Casanova earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from LMU Munich in 2025 with a thesis on Renaissance irony. Drawing on academic experience across Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and two years as a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley (2019 and 2020), her research focuses on sixteenth-century literature and the intersections of ethics, rhetoric, and politics in early modern France and Italy.
