Following the events within DARK: And the Boy in the Hole, the historians of Lakhaus Librarie are commissioned by an anonymous benefactor to conduct an investigation into the utter destruction of Underock Castle and the disappearance of the King.

The sedulous scribes of the ancient house of books visit the destroyed capital of Igrador, and the villages near Myrr Wood, to interview witnesses and uncover the truth of the calamity that occurred after the mysterious boy with no name was released from a hole in the floor of the King's Great Hall at Underock.

This tome documents their findings, cross-referenced with other ancient texts, to provide their secret employers with a comprehensive assessment of a new threat the the realms of mankind.
