When Phineas Bromley suddenly becomes Viscount Hamilton, his world is thrown into a tailspin. More used to battlefields than ballrooms, the adjustment to town life is not easy. But there's nothing like a little mystery to liven up what seems like a mundane life. Aware that someone is stealing from the family coffers, Phineas must come up with a way to expose the culprits. Posing as a highwayman in an effort to infiltrate their world proves dangerous - but not as dangerous as his unexpected attraction to the young lady next door.
