Steve Smallman (Author) Steve Smallman worked as a children's book illustrator for 20 years before he decided to 'have a go' at writing his own. Now, over 100 books later, he's still at it! He visits schools, libraries and festivals, and paints murals too! When he's not working, he enjoys holidays, watching TV, gardening and juggling grandchildren.Emma Yarlett (Illustrator) Highly commended in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2011, Emma began her career as an author and illustrator whilst still studying illustration at Falmouth University. She now paints, draws, collages, designs, doodles, splatters and sketches for a living from her studio at home in Falmouth, near Truro, and loves every minute of it! In her spare time Emma loves to eat jaffa cakes, craves pets and suppresses a desire to spend her entire income on colouring pencils.

This is a charming book, with such excellent rhyming and skilful storytelling that it really caught [my children's] imagination and my daughter could recite it word for word after a few readings. It's a joy to read with them because they join in, shouting out "bear's big bottom" every time... We recommend this book from the bottom of our ... bottoms!
