I saw the need to write this Volume FIRST, Volume V, "Come Let Us Reason Together, Water Baptism, Is It Necessary To Be Baptized In Water To Be Born Again?".the reason "is fivefold:
1. "Oneness/Apostolics" believe it is necessary to preach the Godhead to show why they believe how any believer should be baptized in water;
2. "Trinitarian" believe that the "Great Commission" started and ended in the twenty-eighth Chapter of Matthew;
3. ,There are those who believe "Sprinkling" is the way to be baptized ;
4. Our modern "TV Evangelist" who started the "Sinners Prayer", never once mentioning Water Baptism, and
5. There is that Sect of Believers who cling to the belief: (1) Once Saved, Always Saved!" (2) Water Baptism is "part of works" therefore, it is not needed because we are saved by grace alone.
This volume examines the genesis of Water Baptism, as set forth in the Bible. We approach this subject as if we had no preconceived notion which way is either the right or the wrong way to baptize, or whether not it is an essential element of salvation.
We examine, in depth, all Scriptures in King James Authorized Version, which mention or set forth Water Baptism.
What this Volume does not do, is give dates, times, or the history, when any group or groups of believers, decided to follow or change what is set forth in the Bible regarding Water Baptism.
Therefore, in one aspect, it is very simplistically, set forth, as it examines the deep things of God's Word, not just man's teaching or traditions. Mark wwrote in 12:37 "David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is He then His Son? And the common people heard Him gladly."
