Katherine Woodfine (Author) Katherine Woodfine is the author of the bestselling Sinclair's Mysteries and Taylor & Rose Secret Agents series. Katherine Woodfine has managed to capture the vivacity of Jane Austen's masterpiece, has preserved many of the most famous original lines, maintained the personalities of the characters whilst rewriting to make this accessible to a younger audience. I have been reading it with a group of Year 5 pupils (aged 9 and 10) in library club, and they have been spellbound, audibly groaning when the bell goes to signal the end of break or lunchtime.
