Beskrivning

More than a bibliography, McCollum's work also deals with issues of context and culture that will be of interest to ethnomusicologists working in the area of Armenian music. It also includes a discography that spans from classical music to pop and folk. This is the first full-scale bibliography of Armenian music and is indispensable to all who have a scholarly interest in the subject. It provides a firm basis for musicological work on music from Armenia as well as the Armenian diaspora and is a useful guide for scholars in related areas, such as anthropology, cultural history, Sovietology and West Asian social history.
