Prof. Dr. Ir. Duco Pulle is University Guest Professor at The Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) at RWTH Aachen University. He has published over 30 technical papers and is the named inventor on 3 patents and the co-author of Applied control of electrical drives (Springer 2015), Advanced Electrical Drives: Analysis, Modeling, Control (Springer, 2020) and Fundamentals of Electrical Drives (Springer, 2016).Prof. Dr. Ir. Rik W. De Doncker is Professor of Electrical Engineering at Aachen University of Technology, Aachen, Germany, where he leads the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives. He is past and founding Director of the E.ON Energy Research Center at RWTH Aachen University, where he leads the Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems. He also leads the German Fed. Gover. Research Campus Flexible Electrical Networks. He has published over 700 technical papers and holds 30 patents, with several pending. He is a past president of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) and was the founding Chairman of the German IEEE IAS-PELS Joint Chapter. Dr. De Doncker is a recipient of the IAS Outstanding Achievements Award, the IEEE Power Engineering Custom Power Award and the IEEE Medal in Power Engineering. He is a co-author of the books Advanced Electrical Drives: Analysis, Modeling, Control (Springer, 2020), Semiconductor Power Devices: Physics, Characteristics, Reliability (Springer, 2018), and Fundamentals of Electrical Drives (Springer, 2016).
