Stephen Harrison is Professor of Latin Literature, Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford, UK. His research interests are in Augustan poetry, the ancient novel, especially Apuleius, classical reception (especially for the 19th and 20th centuries in the UK). Among many books and articles he is author of The Neo-Latin Verse of Urban VIII, Alexander VII and Leo XIII: Three Papal Poets from Baroque to Risorgimento (Bloomsbury, 2024) and co-editor of An Anthology of Neo-Latin Poetry by Classical Scholars (Bloomsbury, 2024). Gesine Manuwald is Professor of Latin at University College London, UK, and President of the Society for Neo-Latin Studies (SNLS). She has published a number of articles on early modern Latin literature and edited the collected volume Neo-Latin Poetry in the British Isles (2012) with L.B.T. Houghton as well as several other anthologies in this series.
