Ron Field is an internationally acknowledged expert on US military history. Awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1982, he was a high-school history teacher and Head of History until his retirement in 2007. In 2005 he was elected a Fellow of the Company of Military Historians, based in Washington, DC, and was awarded its Emerson Writing Award in 2013. This is his second book for Osprey’s Fortress series. Peter Dennis was born in 1950. Inspired by contemporary magazines such as Look and Learn he studied illustration at Liverpool Art College. Peter has since contributed to hundreds of books, predominantly on historical subjects. He is a keen wargamer and modelmaker. He is based in Nottinghamshire, UK
