He is the author of several books, including Alabama Now and Then: A Contemporary Look (1994) and Historical Statistics of the States of the United States: Two Centuries of the Census, 1790-1990 (Greenwood, 1993).LLOYD H. CORNETT JR., now retired, was an Air Force historian for over 30 years and for 15 years headed the Air Force Historical Research Center, Maxwell Air Force Base.
