Brown is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia. He researches and teaches in the areas of African American politics, urban politics, and political representation. His research has been published in the following journals: The DuBois Review, The Journal of Politics, National Political Science Review, and Urban Affairs Review.Joseph P. McCormick II (Editor) Joseph P. McCormick II is twice retired from Howard University (associate professor of political science) and the York campus of the Pennsylvania State University (Emeritus Director of Academic Affairs). He has published on the 1984 Jesse Jackson campaign, co-authored a book chapter on the pivotal concept, deracialization, and the 1995 Million Man March. He is past president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (1999-2000) and a member of the Council of the American Political Science Association (2010-2011).
