The fear of not performing hinders their creativity, but this book gives them back a more useable format to take a risk with their inner selves and journal. It is insightful, practical and nurturing.”—Chris Leischner M.S.W., R.S.W.“Authors Lynda Monk and Eric Maisel have created a quintessential journal for exploring and increasing the invaluable quality of self-love. While we’ve been told to love others more than ourselves, self-compassion actually enhances our ability to authentically and consistently have compassion for everyone and everything. Affirmations for Self-Love is easy to use, and the benefits to be gained from doing so are greatly needed.”—Sue Patton Thoele, author of The Courage to Be Yourself and How to Stay Upbeat in a Beat Down World“The authors of this life-affirming, love-affirming workbook know, as they write, ‘Affirmations are ‘right thoughts’ that produce cognitive health, emotional well-being, and the necessary motivation to achieve our goals and realize our dreams.’ That may sound like a tall order, but the quotes and prompts the authors offer for envisioning ways to take action in our lives to hold the love we must nurture in ourselves make it all seem very possible indeed. And the more we live in love, the more peaceful we become and the more we have to share with others. I feel enriched by the wise quotes the book offers and what I write from the prompts.”—Sheila Bender, founder of WritingItReal.com“Strengthening self-love is at the core of this book, and how to accomplish that, through affirmations and journaling, are the keys. The authors offer all the guidance anyone needs to grow in self-love, which means a better life personally, and how to be a better wayshower to all the others one encounters on this journey. This book is a great read! And a true life changer.”—Karen Casey, PhD, author of Each Day a New Beginning and many others: www.womens-spirituality.com“For most people, there is a gap between what we know is good and positive and the experience of those qualities.
