Advances in Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data mining, PAKDD 2004, held in Sydney, Australia in May 2004.The 50 revised full papers and 31 revised short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 238 submissions.
