Professor Abou el Kacem Qaiss is a professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and Director of the Composites and Nanocomposites Centre at the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR), a role he has held since 2010. He earned his Ph.D. from Université Laval (Canada) and brings more than two decades of experience across teaching, research, and industry. His work focuses on hybrid polymer composites, advanced materials (including graphene/nanoclay), lignocellulosic reinforced polymers, nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibres, and polymer blends. His research is supported by grants from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, MAScIR, the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Training (MESRSFC), and the OCP Group. Dr. Marya Raji holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science (2019) from Mohammed V University in Rabat, a specialized Master’s degree in Industrial Inorganic Materials and Mineral Resources (2014), and a professional Bachelor's degree in the Valorization of Moroccan Mineral Resources (2012) from Kaddi Ayyad University in Marrakech. Currently, she is a senior scientist at MAScIR departement affiliated to Mohammed VI polytechnic university. With over 30 peer-reviewed publications and 27 book chapters, Dr. Raji has contributed to key advancements in sustainable packaging and construction materials. She holds six patents, including a novel method for converting phosphogypsum. Dr. Raji also serves on the editorial board for several leading journals in materials science and packaging. In addition to her research, she actively mentors Ph.D. students and teaches practical courses on materials science and polymer processing. Her work has fostered collaborations with international universities and industries, driving innovation in sustainable materials. Dr. Raji continues to lead impactful projects, including developing biodegradable packaging and valorizing waste materials Prof. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan received his PhD from the University of Sheffield (UK). He has 18 years of experience in teaching as well as in research. His research interests include hybrid composites, advanced materials, structural health monitoring, and impact studies. He is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers of Malaysia, a Professional Technologist registered with the Malaysian Board of Technologists, and a Charted Engineer registered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers of the United Kingdom. He is also the current Director of UPM Press. He actively publishes both journal papers and books and has received many awards both locally and internationally.
