Mallikarjuna B. is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Production Engineering, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT), Tamil Nadu, India. Before he joined NITT, he served as an Assistant Professor from Aug 2019 to October 2022 in the Mechanical Engineering department at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore, India. He received a Ph.D. in 2020 from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangaluru. In the Additive Manufacturing (AM) laboratory at NITK, He has published several peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, full papers, and abstract presentations. His team won first prize with cash prize of Rs. 40,000 on Design and Development of Concrete 3D printer and recently received a best paper award in international conference at SRM university. He has filed Indian patent on 3D printed soldering tool. He has conducted SERB-sponsored Karyashala and Vritika workshops. So far, he has presented and participated in 50 conferences, workshops, and webinars. He has given more than 20 invited lectures in various parts of the country. He has also worked as an application engineer at cycloid system Bengaluru. He has rich experience in designing and developing Material Extrusion based Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printers, and rapid manufacturing of polymers, including ABS, TPU and PLA.He has had an excellent academic career, getting his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class with Distinction from Khaza Banda Nawaz College of Engineering affiliated to VTU Belagavi (Now KBN University), Karnataka. He was Second topper in B.E. final year. Dr. Mallikarjuna also, won second prize for a technical paper presentation during his undergraduate study. He did an M. Tech from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bengaluru with First-Class and Distinction. He carried out M. Tech project at Gas Turbine Research Establishment, Bangalore on Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping of Turbocharger Impeller. For his M. Tech project, he received funding from the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) under the 36th series Student Project Programme.Deepak D. Patil is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at IIT, Mandi. Earlier, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Production Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli, India. Prior to joining NIT Trichy, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where his doctoral research on micro-nano manufacturing for biomedical applications was awarded a Distinction. He is a Gold Medalist at the Master's level from NIT Calicut and was the First Rank holder in his Bachelor's program. Dr. Patil’s research specialization lies at the intersection of micro-nano manufacturing, precision engineering, and functional biomaterials. His current work focuses on fabricating bioinspired and mechanobactericidal surfaces, developing microfluidic devices, and advanced surface modifications for biomedical and sensory applications. An active contributor to the field, Dr. Patil has authored several high-impact journal publications in journals like the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, ACS Macro Letters, and Surfaces and Interfaces. He holds published and filed Indian patents related to superhydrophobic surfaces and 3D printed scaffolds. He has contributed book chapters to esteemed publishers, including CRC Press (on Focused Ion Beam Machining). He serves as a reviewer for international journals such as RSC Nanoscale and is a life member of professional bodies including the Japan Society for Precision Engineering (JSPE) and the Indian Welding Society (IWS).Santosh Kumar Mishra is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Production Engineering at NIT, Trichy. He received his Ph. D. degree in Fluid Power Control from IIT Dhanbad in 2018. He received his B.Tech in Production Engineering from NIT Trichy in 2009. He has more than 10 years of experience in the design and development of fluid power systems. His current research interests include oil Hydraulics, Hydrostatic Transmission System, Fault diagnosis, Robotics, Solar Power Systems with nano-materials and additive manufacturing. He has got more than 60 research publications comprising articles in both National and International journals, International and National Conferences and book chapters in esteemed Internationally published books. He has also published 9 patents. He is reviewer of many international journals. He has also given many invited talks at universities, workshops, and has been a resource person for faculty development programs.
