Louie Stowell was born in London and has lived there ever since, except for a short stint in Watford to study advertising. She's worked as a copywriter, cartoonist, PR and in-house fiction writer, and was Publisher at Ladybird/Penguin Random House before writing full-time.Her 2019 debut, The Dragon in the Library, was followed by The Monster in the Lake in 2020 and The Wizard in the Wood in 2021. Otherland, a standalone middle-grade novel, followed in 2021. The first book in her series, Loki: A Bad God's Guide to Being Good, was an instant #3 Sunday Times (UK) Bestseller.Isobel Lundie is a freelance illustrator living in Worthing with her boyfriend and sneezy cat Banshee. She spends most of her time drawing characters and writing books that she never quite finishes. When she's not working, she spends her time playing netball with her team or taking down her brother's Just Dance skills.

Stowell's comical and clever story encapsulates the ups and downs of dealing with drama of every kind while Lundie's atmospheric and richly detailed illustrations bring The Glade Theatre to life. Parents everywhere will recognise the drama of getting an over-excited little bear off to dreamland while the funny and reassuring story addresses some of the big emotions felt by little ones. The second act can't come soon enough!
