The Eastern Communication Association is the oldest professional communication association in the United States. Established in 1910, it is a service-oriented organization with a history of achievement in research, criticism, communication theory, and excellence in teaching. James W. Chesebro is Distinguished Professor of Telecommunications at Ball State University.
