T C Melewar is Professor of Marketing and Strategy and the Head of Department (Marketing, Branding and Tourism) at the Business School, Middlesex University London, UK. TC’s research and publications are in the areas of branding, corporate identity and international marketing. Prior to joining Middlesex University, TC was a Professor at Brunel University and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Switzerland. He also has held academic positions at the University of Warwick (Warwick Business School) and De Montfort University in the UK and MARA Institute of Technology, Malaysia. Professor TC co-authored eleven books on consumer behaviour, corporate branding, strategic marketing, place branding, strategic brand management and international marketing. His research has been published in top-tier international journals including Business Ethics Quarterly; Journal of World Business, Journal of International Business Studies, International Marketing Review, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Management Reviews, Industrial Marketing Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change among others. He has contributed chapters in edited books, published case studies and teaching notes. His research outputs have appeared in the media and press. He has also conducted executive courses for international companies including Sony, British Steel, Nestle, Safeway. Professor TC has been involved as guest editors for journals including Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Brand Management, Management Decision, Qualitative Market Research: An International Journal among others. Pantea Foroudi (PhD, SFHEA, MSc (Honours), MA, BA (Honours)) is the business manager and solution architect at Foroudi Consultancy and is a member of the Marketing and Branding Department, Brunel Business School, London. Pantea has been working in the field of design, branding, and marketing since 1996, and she has experience as a creative innovator and practical problem-solver in visual identity, graphic design, and branding in different sectors. Her primary research interest has focused on consumer behaviour from a multidisciplinary approach based on two research streams: (i) corporate brand design and identity, and (ii) sustainable development goals (SDGs). Pantea has been published widely in international academic journals, such as the British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and others. She is the associate/senior editor of the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Management Reviews, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and European Journal of International Management (EJIM), among others. Charles Dennis is Professor of Consumer Behaviour at The Business School, Middlesex University (UK); and Associate Editor in the Marketing section of Journal of Business Research. His main teaching and research area is (e-)retail and consumer behaviour – the vital final link of the Marketing process. Charles qualified as a Chartered Marketer, elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing for helping to modernise the teaching of the discipline. He was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence for improving the interactive student learning experience at Brunel University. He has published in journals such as Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Business Research; Computers in Human Behavior; Psychology & Marketing; Information Technology & People; International Journal of Electronic Commerce; and European Journal of Marketing. Dr Gulbin Durmaz is Lecturer and Module Leader in Marketing at the Middlesex University. Chiara Mauri is Fellow of Marketing and Sales at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is Full Professor at Universà Cattaneo - LIUC, where she is the Director of the School of Economics and Management. She is Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University and at the Université Savoie Mont Blanc. Her research activities focus on three main areas: retail management, of which she has deepened some aspects such as category management, assortment management, loyalty cards and loyalty networks. The second area deals with marketing: brand management, sales promotion, kids’ marketing, consumer shopping behaviour, multichannel customer management. Lastly, she works on place branding and destination management. She is the author of various books, monographs and articles on these subjects. Her works have been published in Annals of Tourism Research, Psychology & Marketing, International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, International Journal of Tourism Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management and Mercati e Competitività. In 2007 she won the award for the best paper published in the magazine Mercati e Competitività. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, of International Journal of Marketing and Management and of Italian Journal of Marketing. She was Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School and at the Arizona State University. She is member of the board of directors of Marketing Italian Society. At Valle d’Aosta University, she was Director of the Department of Economics and Political Sciences from 2009 to 20016. She is Secretary of the Società Italiana di Marketing and founding member of the International Place Branding Association (2016). She is member of the Board of Directors of Esprinet SpA (listed company) and Colorificio San Marco SpA.
