New Perspectives on the History of Women’s Movements in the United States

This book provides the first systematic approach to the history of feminist movement in 19./20th cent USA, highlighting the intersectional dimensions of women’s history, covering issues such as race, gender and mobility. Transnational perspectives, encompassing the U.S., Canada, & the Caribbean, provide a broader perspective of parts of the Atlantic world that counteracts narratives of feminist movement history as a “Western” phenomenon.
