She is author of the Watercolour Artist's Pocket Palette. David Webb specialized in extremely detailed natural history illustrations for many years. He then changed to pure watercolour and took to the much looser, freer style shown in this book. He now runs painting holidays and workshops, and demonstrates around the UK, and his work is displayed in a number of galleries.

Feb 06This is a book that is going to remain firmly in my bookcase. Too many times have I started a painting to find that I have made a major flaw in the painting by not getting the colours right. Help is on hand with this book which provides a visual guide to more than 2,500 mixes and glaze effects. I will no longer be at a loss when I need to add the right depth to my pictures.Almost like granny's old recipe book this is a treasure trove of colours that you may well never have used or known how to make. I have also learnt a lot about the importance of the right paper and read about several techniques that I have never tried before.Thanks to the authors of this book I will hopefully be producing a lot more tonal wonders in the near future.
