Gerald Killingworth read English at Cambridge and was an English teacher for many years. He also has a PhD in Elizabethan Literature. His plays have been successfully produced on the London fringe, and he has published four novels, including Hy Brazil (Troubadour 2014) and The Dead World of Lanthorne Ghules, (Pushkin Press, 2019), which was one of The Guardian's picks of the month. Gerald has published two poetry collections: Emptying Houses (Dempsey & Windle, 2022), Fabrics, Fancies & Fens (Tears in the Fence press, 2025).
