However, for the beginner and less experienced maker, problems can often be bewildering and the solutions daunting.In this book we begin with the basic principles of clay production and processing as a guide to minimise problems before they begin. We then identify the most common problems and faults that makers will encounter and suggest ways to resolve them and even use the faults to good use in some cases.
