The Fortune

When her sixty-four-year-old husband, whom she married in secret, dies, Alexa is pitted against the powerful and privileged world of the New York rich as she fights her late husband’s entire family for control of his fortune.

Arthur Bannerman, a controversial and wealthy man lives the life many can only dream of, complete with a beautiful and down-for-anything young wife, Alexa Walden. Their secret marriage poses no problems for anyone and enables them to live the life they wanted without the rumors and drama that come with being among the elite people of New York…until Arthur dies.

Shocked to learn he was even married, the Bannerman dynasty will stop at nothing to take ownership of the inheritance they are presumably entitled to. Now, in the aftermath of her husband’s death, Alexa is left to fight for the fortune she believes is rightfully hers.

Full of scandal, drama, and the glamorous lifestyle of the New York rich, The Fortune is “one rapturous read!” (New York Post).
