Speleological and Speleogenetic Aspects of the Monti di Capo San Vito (Sicily)

Degree in Geological Science, at the University of Catania, with thesis in Hydrogeology and Karst phenomena of the Hyblean Plateau (Sicily); Ph.D. in Karstology at the University of Nova Gorica. Since 1978 working as a geologist, for oil researches, in the Sicily Channel and in the Sahara desert, then for civil works in Turkey, for the construction of the Eufrate Karakaia Dam, and in Libya. Since 1989 working as geologist-chief of Water Department of Ragusa Genio Civile of Sicily Region. In 1974 he founded the Hyblean Center for Speleo-Hydrogeological Researches with which, since 1988, he has organized and lead international karst researches in several countries such as Asia, Middle-east, Africa, Indonesia, central and south America. He has published several scientific works and collaborate with national and international editors.
