Sabata Mokae is a novelist and lecturer in creative writing at Sol Plaatje University, Kimberley. He has written and lectured on Sol Plaatje, is the author of The Story of Sol Plaatje (Kimberley: Sol Plaatje Educational Trust, 2012) and is co-editor (with Brian Willan) of an edited collection of Plaatje's letters, to be published by Historical Publications Southern Africa (formerly the Van Riebeeck Society) in 2020.
