Sociology of Gender in India brings together feminist and queer scholarship to chart the changing landscape of gender debates in Indian Sociology. Pushpesh Kumar is Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad, India. His research focuses on queer movement, queer religion, transgender-mobilization, queer consumerism and Marxism and queer theory. Rituparna Patgiri is Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. Her research interests include digital sociology, pedagogy, sociology of culture, sociology of food, sociology of gender, sociology of media. Deepali Aparajita Dungdung is Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Ranchi University, India. Her areas of interest include gender, migration, labour and work.
