Born in the Czech Republic in 2002, Eliška Hozáková, who is now about to graduate from Charles University in Prague with a degree in Pedagogy, began writing poetry in both Czech and English in high school as a way of expressing her inner world. A lover of sport, travel and art, she says of herself, ‘I have the heart of an athlete andthe soul of an artist’. Her poems – modern, refreshing, funny and sassy– are born from personal experiences, from observing the world and human relationships, from the need to express her dreams, emotions and aspirations. This first collection is especially dedicated to women, encouraging themto speak out without fear, to love themselves and to understand their value. It is a hymn to love, friendship, freedom and courage. An invitation not to forget that: “Woman is the most beautiful human”.
