Josie Carrington is a married, carefree shopaholic. Her life revolves around enjoying herself, lunch with friends and thinking about having a baby. Until her husband dies. Suddenly Josie finds that life as a penniless widow is no fun, but with her usual resolve she throws herself into finding a job (although office work has never been her forte). A bit of ingenuity, several good friends and a lucky break help her to discover hidden talents, allowing Josie to forge ahead with a new life and deal with her mother's constant match-making.
